The largest book on the subject of art ever published in Pakistan (2012) was sold out and out of print lately. The second edition of the seminal book on Sadequain will be available shortly.
The Saga of SADEQUAIN is a two-volumes-in-a-hard-case book representing five years of exhaustive research on Sadequain’s life and locating Sadequain’s work scattered around the world. The two volumes of the book, 14 x 14 inch, hard cover, over 850 pages, over 550 pieces of artwork – many done while Sadequain was residing overseas – coffee table magnum opus is the crown jewel among the more than one dozen books published by the SADEQUAIN Foundation.
The Saga of SADEQUAIN, Volume I – Biography is based upon statements of fact about Sadequain’s life and work and a window to his private self, perhaps in a manner that has not been presented before.
The Saga of SADEQUAIN, Volume II – Galerie is a celebration of the most intriguing and innovative work of a national icon, who crossed the traditional and predefined boundaries of artistic forms, norms, subjects, objects, shades, dimensions, and every other confinement that he deemed as an obstruction. In the process, he produced with abundance some of the most magnificent collections of artwork by any measure, rich in content, diverse in nature, grand in scale, and large in numbers.
